1)Two sources of light are said to be COHERENT sources of LIGHT if they have the same frequency,constant phase difference or it may be zero also.

2)Example lamp, candle,sun are not the COHERENT sources of LIGHT because they combination of incoherent light rays.

3)But laser is COHERENT source of LIGHT as constituent multiple sources are phase locked inside a laser.

4)And phase is a position or can be said as a point of time in waveform cycle.
