What is meant by convection as it relates to heat

 Convection is the movement of heat energy especially in fluids. The convection happens when heated fluid rises above because it becomes lighter than the cold parts of the fluid. The cooler aspects of the fluid sink as the hotter parts rises. This movement is what is referred to as the convectional movement of heat.
