Dielectric polarization ⇒

Dielectric polarization is define as The electric field is applied throughout a dielectric material, Then the charge will be redistributed and Dielectric material will be be polarized. This process is known as Dielectric polarization.

[Refer to the Attachment for Dielectric polarization ]

Characteristics

⇒ The mechanism of Dielectric by which polarization occurs are :- electron polarization, Ionic polarization, Interface polarization ,orientation polarization.

⇒ Also any Dielectric material may have polar molecule or non- polar molecule.

⇒ so the polarization of any material is defined as the amount of dipole moment per unit volume

P = n  \alpha_{e} E

Where P is the polarization , α is the ionic polarizability , and E is the local electric field .

Hope it Helps :-)
