Displacement Reaction:type of reaction where two reactants exchange ions to form to new compounds
example: BaCl2 + Na2SO4 ----> BaSO4 + NaCl
Displacement reaction: Type of reaction in which highly reactive element displaces less reactive element to form a new compound..
.
Example: 2HCl + Zn -------> ZnCl2 + H2

Hey mate here is your answer...
Displacement reaction is a chemical change, in which a more active element displaces a less reactivate element from its salt solution.
Example - 2KI + Cl2 ---> 2KCl + I2.
Double displacement reaction is a chemical change in which two compounds exchange their radicals with each other to form new compounds.
Example - Mg + H2So4 ---> MgSo4 + H2.
Hope it helps you mate...
