The term refers to the condition when a doctor is supposed to be there at a hospital but does not do so and still gets paid for no service.To check the malpractice:
1. A regular register must be maintained which is to be filled by the doctor as soon as he is present at the hospital.The register must record the timings till which the doctor is present
2. The doctor's government pay must be increased
3. A surprise  government raid must be made to the hospital and if the doctor is found absent for no valid reason, his practice certificate must be confiscated.
4. Depending on the number of days the doctor does his full day duty, he must be paid and when he is absent, that day's pay must be cancelled.
