Earthing is a safety device against the excessive current in the circuit or against the fatal presence of current. A thick copper wire is connected to a copper plate deep below the ground buried with a mixture of water salt and charcoal to keep the copper wire conducting.in case of excess current from live wire it passes to the earth wire to the earthing wire..
