The interaction between various biotic and abiotic components of the environment forms an ecosystem. Pond ecosystem, river ecosystem, forest ecosystem are some examples of natural ecosystem. An aquarium or a garden is an example of man made ecosystem. All the ecosystems of the world combines to form the biosphere. The study of interaction among abiotic and biotic components in an ecosystem is called ecology and the scientists who study ecology are called ecologists.
