Answer:
The Middle Way or Middle Path is the term that Gautama Buddha used to describe the character of the Noble Eightfold Path he discovered that leads to liberation.
The middle way refers to the way Buddhists take in daily life. Some go hi some go low Buddhists stay in the middle, this represents the space between two extremes. The Bhudda Siddartha Gautama came up with this concept after experiencing the highs of growing up a prince and knowing having everything doesn't vanquish ones sufferings. After leaving his life as a prince in search of an end to samsara he began practicing Hinduism at the time which practices were to take you to the extremes of suffering so that you would no longer be affected by things in comparison- this included starving, going into tiger infested jungles, eating feces, and much more- once realizing neither extreme worked he sat and meditated and came to the understanding that the way between the two extremes is the way to true understanding hence the Middle way. There's much more to this concept and how it applies to daily life. I would also look up oneness you may be interested in that may help as well.
