Hey there!
Q- What is meant by electro-negativity?
A-The tendency of an atom in a molecule to attract the shared pair of electrons towards itself is called its electro-negativity.
Electro-negativity depends on the following two factors -:
1) Atomic Size -: The greater the size of atom, the lesser the electro-negativity, since the electrons being farther away from the nucleus, experience a lesser force of attraction.
2) Nuclear Charge -: The greater the nuclear charge, greater is the electro-negativity, because increase in nuclear charge causes electron attraction with a greater force.

- Electronegativity is a measure of the tendency of an atom to attract a bonding pair of electrons. The Pauling scale is the most commonly used. Fluorine (the most electronegative element) is assigned a value of 4.0, and values range down to cesium and francium which are the least electronegative at 0.7.
