Explanation:
Error in physics is difference between actual value and the calculated value.
There are 3 types of error :
(a) Systematic error
Error which is either positive or negative and can be corrected. This error is sub divided into 3 types-
- Instrumental error - It is the error which arises due to defects in instruments.
- Technical error - It is the error which arises due to imperfection or lack of awareness about procedure of experiments.
- Personal error - This error occurs due to individuals mistake. Eg- Parallax.
(b) Random error
This error occurs irregularly and randomly. Generally it's difficult to correct this type of error.
(c) Least count error
- this error can be random or systematic error
- occur due to different precision of instruments.
