What is meant by 'ester having acidic hydrogen'?

acidic hydrogen means a-hydrogen.The hydrogen atom attached a-carbon with respect to carbonyl group are considered acidic in nature  because of the electrons withdrawing nature of carbonyl group. The electron withdrawing effect makes C-H bond between a-carbon H weak thereby making a-H acidic in nature.
