ETON OF THE EAST.
Mayo College is popularly known as the “Eton of the East” . Mayo college is situated in Ajmer . It was founded in 1870 AD ( after death ) . It was best expressed in the words of Lord Lytton who was the Viceroy of India . When he visited to Mayo as the Chief Guest on the Annual Prize Giving day , which was to be held on Dec 5, 1879.
