Answer:

Evaporation is a type of vaporization, that occurs on the surface of a liquid as it changes into the gaseous phase. The surrounding gas must not be saturated with the evaporating substance.

*Temperature: The rate of evaporation increases with an increase in temperature.

*Surface area: The rate of evaporation increases with an increase in surface area.

*Humidity: The amount of water vapour present in the air is called humidity.

how does evaporation causes cooling

When evaporation occurs then than the liquid (mostly water) absorbs all the heat from the surroundings and take it with it and we feel cool. evaporation causes cooling effect because the heat energy is abosorbed by surrounding particles.

  • evaporation means that it occurs at a temperature less than its boiling point and it also occur at a room temperature
  • factors that affect evaporation are
  1. wind speed
  2. surface area
  3. temperature
  4. humidity
  5. Nature of the liquid
  • cooling due to evaporation is process in which if evaporation then the temperature fall down and we feel cooling this is called cooling due to evaporation
