Process of formation of Urine:

The process to remove the harmful waste which was formed in the body due to the metabolism is called excretion.

The process of excretion has several stages such as glomerular filtration, tubular reabsorption, tubular secretion and concentration of the urine.

  • Glomerular filtration-In this process filtration of the blood happens in the glomerulus and the primary urine is formed.
  • Tubular reabsorption-The useful substances like glucose, potassium ion and amino acid are reabsorbed here.
  • Tubular secretion-Here some of the waste like Na, Cl and K+ added from the peritubular capillaries .
  • Concentration of urine- Urine concentration takes place in this section.
