Initial velocity(u)=0 m/s,time(t)=10 s,acceleration due to gravity(g)=9.8 m/s²
By applying equation of motion for a freely falling body,
h=ut+1/2(gt²)
=0+1/2(9.8×10×10)
=1/2×980=490 m(Ans.)

an object falling freely under the force of gravity (when no other forces acting on it)is called a free fall.
t=10s
g=9.8m/s2
Substituting the values in the equation s=it+1/2at2

s=0 * 10 + (1/2)1/2)* 9.8 * 10 *10

s=490 meters

So, the height of the building is 490 meters
