Freedom of expression means to express one’s views and ideas through speech or writing.

Freedom of Speech is Fundamental right in Indian constitution.

Reasonable restriction on this freedom:

a. Should be made such that it does not hinder functioning of society.

b. These restrictions are necessary and reasonable as they are necessary for the society to run.

Examples:

1. Freedom of speech cannot reveal or interfere into one’s privacy. Employees of Royal Household in England are restricted by contract from disclosing any inner affairs of the Royal Household.
