The force of attraction exerted by the earth is called gravity and this phenomenon is called gravitation.
Gravitational force was discovered by Sir Issac Newton.
More to know :- The gravity of earth attracts every object towards its surface. Due to this, the gravity exerts an acceleration on the object falling towards it. This is called acceleration due to gravity(denoted by 'g'). Value of g is 9.8m/s².
Hope it helps dear friend ☺️✌️✌️

Gravitation is a force of attraction between two bodies which is always attractive in nature. According to Newton, each body possess gravity but due to our small mass, gravitational pull exerted by us is not strong.
Formula for gravity=(gravitation constant × mass of object 1 × mass of object 2)/ (Distance between objects)squared
HOPE IT HELPS.
