as we know we eat daily to gain energy. so this is done at certain point of time like most of people would prefer to have their lunch at 12:00 or 1:00 p.m . so if this is delayed due to some reason, our stomach reminds us to have our food by releasing a harmone called ghrelin which causes a feeling of hunger. this is known as hunger pangs.
