Ideal fuels are the fuels which mainly have the following characteristic features -:
- They should be easily available.
- They should be economically feasible.
- They should have an optimum (appropriate) Ignition Temperature.
- They should be easily transportable.
- They should not produce smoke on burning.
- They should have a high calorific value.
- They should not leave any residue after burning.
- They should be easy to store.
