whenever the number of magnetic lines of force or magnetic flux passing through the circuit changes, an emf is produced. If the circuit is closed, a current flows through it. The emf and the current produced is called the induced emf and the induced current.

Inducing means forcing. Induced current is actually forcing current to flow in a circuit. We can induce current to flow in a wire by moving a magnet with respect to the coil of the wire or even vise versa. The current that is so produced is called induced current.
