inertia is the property of mass by virtue of which it tends to oppose the change in its state of rest or state of motion..
more precisely if any body is moving it will tend to resist the the change in its motion, if force applied or..
if the body is at rest it will tend to stay at rest if the force is applied to make it move

Answer:

Inertia is the inherent property of a body to resist the change in its natural state of rest or motion .

There are three types of inertia :

Inertia of motion

Inertia of direction

Inertia of rest

Inertia of motion :

The  inherent property of a body to resist the change in its natural state of

motion is inertia of motion .

Ex : When the bus suddenly comes to a halt , we tend to fall forward . This

is due to inertia of motion .

Inertia of rest :

The  inherent property of a body to resist the change in its natural state of

rest is called as inertia of rest .

Ex : When a bus suddenly comes into motion , we tend to fall backward .

This is due to inertia of rest .

Inertia of direction :

The inherent property of a body to resist the change in its current direction

of motion .

Ex : When a bus suddenly takes a turn , we tend to move in the outward

direction . This is due to inertia of direction .

Hope it helped and please mark as brainliest:)
