The natural tendency of an object to resist the change in it's state of rest or motion is called inertia.
Types of inertia are :-
✔ Inertia of rest- The ability of a body to resist any change in its state of rest.

✔ Inertia of motion- The ability of a body to resist any change in its state of motion.

✔ Inertia of rotation- The ability of a body to resist any change in its state of rotation is inertia of rotation.

2.inertia of motion

1. inertia of rest - inertia of rest is the tendency due to which body resist the state of rest. example - when a bus starts suddenly the person sitting on a bus fell backwards.

2. inertia of motion - inertia of motion is the tendency due to which the body that's the state of motion. example - when a person jumps from a moving bus he done some distance to prevent from injury.
