it is the half of inter Ionic distance between two ions.

● there are two types of ions . - cation and anion.

● cation has positive charge while anion has negative charge.

● size of cation is always smaller than their parent atom .

• unit electron attraction force increase.

● size of anion is always greater than their parent atom

• number of shell increase.

• per unit electron attraction force will decrease so size of atom greater than parent atom
