A number that cannot be expressed as a ratio between two integers and is not an imaginary number. If written in decimal notation, an irrational number would have an infinite number of digits to the right of the decimal point, without repetition.

HeArty: here my answers is for rational no aur. and for irrational no ----An irrational number cannot be expressed as a ratio between two numbers and it cannot be written as a simple fraction because there is not a finite numberof numbers when written as a decimal.
