the amount of heat needed to change the state of any matter without changing the temperature of the matter is known as latent heat.. ...... there's two types ->1)latent heat of fusion for changing solid to liquid....2)late.heat of voporisation to change liquid state to gas...................,............latent heat is responsible for transforming the state of matter...... hope it's helpful.... thanks ☺☺☺
