Hey mate ,

Lateral inversion means the objects which are at left appear to be at right and vis a vis .( right appears to be at left )

For example , Images made by a plane mirror are laterally inverted .You would have noticed when you move your right hand upwards infront of a plane mirror then in mirror it appears to be you left hand ! Thus this phenomenon is called lateral inversion .
