This chemical reaction is an acid-Base reaction. Acid and Base, when mixed in appropriate proportions , form a neutral solution. such reactions are called neutralisation reaction. example are
NaOH + HCl --------> NaCl + H2O
2NaOH + H2SO4 ---------> Na2 SO4 + 2H2O
NaOH + HCl --------> NaCl + H2O
2NaOH + H2SO4 ---------> Na2 SO4 + 2H2O

A reaction in which an acid reacts with base to form a salt and water,is called neutralization reaction. In a neutralization reaction, the products formed are neutral to litmus.All neutralization reactions are irreversible reactions.The neutralization of an strong acid and strong base has a pH equal to 7.
◆Examples◆
1= NaOH + HCl =====> NaCl + H2O
2= HBr + KOH ======> KBr + H2O
