A neutron is a sub atomic particle that has no overall charge. A neutron is made of 3 fundamental particles, called quarks. Neutrons consists of 1 up-quark(charge of 2/3) and 2 down quarks(charge of -1/3) so overall when bonded together the charges are cancelled out and so a neutron is neutral.
