What is meant by Nutrient immobilisation?

Some nutrients gets tied up/eaten by the microbes while the process of decomposition and hence due to this the microbes becomes temporarily unavailable for the other organisms.And this type of incorporation of nutrients in living microbes like bacteria and fungi is called as nutrient immobilisation.

Immobilization in soil science is the conversion of inorganic compounds to organic compounds by micro-organisms or plants, by which it is prevented from being accessible to plants. Immobilization is the opposite of mineralization.
