Pad Parichay is the particular information given about a word of a sentence. Pad parichay means giving all info about the word and describing it. If it is a noun, what type of noun it is, or if it is a verb what type of verb it is, the gender, and whether it is plural or singular is described

in hindi- वाक्य में प्रयुक्त प्रत्येक सार्थक शब्द को पद कहते है तथा उन शब्दों के व्याकरणिक परिचय को पद परिचय- पद व्याख्या या पदान्वय कहते है।पद परिचय में उस शब्द के भेद, उपभेद, लिंग, वचन, कारक आदि के परिचय के साथ, वाक्य में प्रयुक्त अन्य पदो के साथ उसके सम्बन्ध का भी उल्लेख किया जाता है।
