Photoperid can also be called as day length.


Photperiod varies with different zones on earth and also according to seasons.


Plants show photoperiodic responses such as flowering and germination while animals responses can be migration, hibernation etc.


Photoperiodic responses are generally seen in higher latitudes where the variation in photoperiod is greater.
