Planets are nothing but a body which orbits the sun directly and is massive enough to be in hydrostatic equilibrium .
There are 8 planets in solar system they are
mercury, Venus, Mars, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune .

A celestial body moving in an elliptical orbital round the star( sun) is called planet . there are 8 planets in our solar system they are :

1. mercury
2. Venus
3. Earth
4. Mars
