The transfer of pollen grains from the anther to the stigma of the flower is called pollination.

The pollen grains are developed inside the anther having lived called microsporangium. Inside the microsporangium microspore mother cells undergo meiosis to form microspores or pollen grains. These pollen reach to the surface of stigma of the flower by air, water, insects, birds, butterfly etc., Once the pollen grains reaches the stigma then the pollen tube develops allowing the nuclei of pollen grains to reach egg cell for fertilization.
