Wood, glass etc are insulators...Insulators doesnt allow heat to pass through them..
Conduction refers to transfer of heat through solids materials...

Hii Mate here is your Answer,
● What is conduction?
The process in which the heat energy transfers from one particle to to another in solids .
The movement of heat from heat to cold body in solids is called conduction.
● What are conductors?
Those substance through which heat passes is called conductor.
It is of two types :
1. Good Conductor : Those substance which allows heat to pass through it freely is called Good conductors (or just conductors).
Examples : Metals like Iron and copper.
2.Poor Conductor : Those substance which doesnot allows heat to pass through it is called poor conductors (or just insulators).
Examples : Non metals like Oxygen ,glass and plastic.
