Power of lens is known as the inverse of the focal length of the lens measured in meter(m). S.I unit of power = Dioptre (D) Power of lense = 1/ focal length in meter.

 P=f1

f=2.51=0.4m=40cm

Since the focal length of lens is positive so it is a convex lens. It is a converging lens.
