Probability actually means the chances of the occurrence of any event or calamity.

Probability is actually meaning chances.
If i say that the sun will rise from the west direction next morning, Then this is obviously an impossible event because the sun rises from the east which is a universally accepted truth.
So, here the probability of this event is 0

Now, if I say  that the sun will set in the west. Now this is a certain event that will surely happen. So here the probability is 1.

Remember , the probability of any event in this universe is 0 , 1 or in between 0 and 1. It will never exceed 1 nor be lower than 0( that is negative ).

So,this is all about basic probability.
