Radioactivity is a physical phenomenon that some isotopes are unstable, due to the unbalanced between the nucleons in the nucleus,so some of these nucleons decay giving radiations such, electron, positron, neutron, neutrino, antineutrino, sometimes ,emition of gamma(photon),etc.for example,

P——-n+positron+ neutrino

n—→p+electron+antineutrino.
