Rainwater Harvesting:-

Rainwater Harvesting is the storage and accumulation of rainwater for later use(reuse),rather then allowing it to get the wasted.

•This is done to fulfill your needs at the time of water scarcity.

•This water is often used to clean vehicles, watering the plants, cleaning houses etc.

•Rainwater is stored by the following methods:-

1. Pipes are used to store the water from the roofs of houses in tanks.
2. Pits are made in ground , and their surface is covered with plastic so as to prevent the water to be absorbed by the soil.
3. Storage can also be done by simply putting domestic utensils under rain.
