Real Numbers :- The numbers which are either rational or irrational are called as real Numbers.

Rational Numbers :- The numbers which can be expressed in p/q form (where q ≠ 0) and has a terminating or non terminating but recurring decimal expression are called as rational number.

Example :- 1, 2, 0.875, 0.888888.....

Irrational number :- Numbers which cannot be expressed in p/q form and has a non terminating non recurring decimal expression are irrationals. All imperfect roots are irrational.

Example:- 0.8765338047103......, √2, √3

So real numbers are the group of rational and irrational number.
