Answer :

The ratio of speed of light in vacuum to the speed of light in medium is called refractive index

Let's speed of light in vacuum = C

Refractive index= C/(2C/3)

Refractive index = 3/2 = 1.5

Refractive index:

  1. The ratio of speed of light in vaccum and speed of light in medium is defined as refractive index
  2. It is denoted by n
  3. n= c/v
  4. refractive index is 3/2
