Plant reproduction is the production of new offspring in plants, which can be accomplished by sexual or asexual reproduction. Sexual reproduction produces offspring by the fusion of gametes, resulting in offspring genetically different from the parent or parents.

reproduction is a biological process. it is an important characteristics of all living organisms because, the living ones are differentiated from non-living material due to their capacity of reproduction. the living organisms give rise to young ones similar to themselves. all living organism follow the cycle of birth, growth and death. reproduction enables the continuity of the species generation after generation.

the process of reproduction ensures that the animal's genes are passed on to the next generation and the continuinity of the race is maintained. all modes of reproduction share common basic features such as DNA replication, RNA synthesis, protein synthesis, cell division, formation of reproductive units or bodies and development of the reproductive units into new young ones..

type of reproduction :-

-----------------------------------------------

there is a large diversity among animals. there are about 1.2 million types of animal. the lower animals like protozoan, sponges and few collenterates reproduces in one simple way while all the rest follows a different pattern of reproduction. based on whether there is participation of one organism or two in the process of reproduction, there are two types of reproduction. when offspring is produced by a single parent or without involving of gamete formation, the type of reproduction is asexual reproduction. when two parents of opposite sex participate in the reproductive process and also involved fusion of male and female gametes, it is called sexual reproduction...
