The property of a material by virtue of which it opposes the flow of current ( charge per unit time) through it is called resistance.
According to Ohm's law,
V=IR
or R=V/I
where, V is the potential difference across the two terminals of material/conductor
I is the magnitude of current flowing through it
R is the constant of proportionality and is called the resistance
