corrosion of metal is called rusting
when iron is corroded, it is called rusted iron

Rust is also known as Iron Oxide, it is more probably in red color and it is formed by redox reaction of Iron and Oxygen in the pressence of water or air moisture.
The chemical formula for rust is Fe2O3.
