Scalars : Scalar is a physical quantity that does not depend on direction i.e., they are independent of direction and hence depend only on magnitude.
For example : speed , distance , etc. are scalar quantity.

Vectors : Vector is a physical quantity that depend on both magnitude and direction. They are represented with alphabet having an arrow on the top of the alphabet .
For example : velocity and displacement are vector quantities.
