are called scaled air tight packets in which air can't able to oxidise....
because nitrogen prevants the chips from rancidity.. whereas if chips come into the contact of oxgen .. they get oxidised . and their taste changes .. and produces foul smell frm chips. so thats why , nitrogen is filled in the packets of chips in order to prevant them from becoming oxidised
