Selection can be defined as discovering most promising and most suitable candidate to fill up the vacant job position in the organisation.

The five steps —-

1. Preliminary screening :

preliminary screening is done to eliminate unqualified and misfit candidates based on information supplied in application form.

2.selection decision:

the candidates who passed the test , interview and reference check are included in the selection list and the managers select most suitable candidate from this list.

3. Job offer:

the applicants who clear the medical test are given job offer through letter of appointment .

4. Medical examination:

befor appointing the candidates ar set for medical fitness test .

5. Contract of employe:

when candidates accept the job offer it refers to signing of contract of employment.
