semi autonoumous organs are the ones which have their own DNA and can synthesis proteins by itself..ex.mitochondria and chloroplasts.

Cell organelles such as mitochondria and chloroplast has its own protein synthesis factory containing 70s ribosomes, double stranded circular DNA and mRna..
So it is able to synthesise some of the proteins on its own and depend on the nucleus for the rest...
Such organelles are termed as' semi autonomous cell organelles..'
