What is meant by statement Rest and motion? Give example

In one word of motion means moving. The body or object is moving if it change its position continuously is called motion for an example- A bus running on a road . Whereas in one word of rest means not moving . The body or object is said to be at rest if it does not moving or change its position continuously is called rest for an example- A book lying on a table.

The statement rest means an object is in rest with respect to a stationary object as reference point.
Example:- House is in rest with respect to humans.

The statement motion means an object is continuously changing its place with respect to time as well as a stationary object as reference point.
Example:- Car moving in a road is in motion with respect to buildings and humans.
