Usually, strength refers to volume strength of H2O2. This compound has a peroxide(O-O bond) linkage and is unstable. It tends to split into H2O and O2. So, volume strength is defined as the volume of O2 produced by the decomposition of 1 lit of the given H202 sample. It can be related to the molarity and normality of H2O2. V=11.2M and V=5.6N where V is volume strength, M and N are molarity and normality respectively.
