before industrialization nature where very fresh and whitish in nature .whether its an atmospheric condition or earthly things.So white coloured butterflies dominated over dark colour and the populated very well...But after certain period industrialization brought pollution to the nature contaminated and which enabled white flies prominent to the predators and Dark coloured butterflies used the dark background as camouflage ok.and they survived..This means those who are fit to the natural condtion only can survive.
Just like smaller beak over larger beak...because of the urgence to capture pray from deep inside the holes of wood.
